Nuove acquisizioni sulle policromie dell’altare di Ratchis. I colori dei lati minori

Abstract

ABSTRACT: una rilettura critica della campagna fotografica e delle indagini scientifiche compiute tra il 2004 e il 2010 sull’altare di Ratchis ha consentito di completare lo studio delle sue finiture policrome e di formulare l’inedita proposta della coloritura dei lati minori, il cui stato di conservazione è particolarmente compromesso. Il presente contributo ripercorre le metodologie di indagine, le chiavi interpretative adottate e gli esiti raggiunti.

ABSTRACT: a critical rereading of the photographic campaign and of the scientific investigations carried out on the altar of Ratchis (737-744) between 2004 and 2010, made it possible to complete the study of its polychromy and to formulate the unpublished proposal of the colors of the smaller sides, whose state of conservation is particularly compromised. This written traces the method of investigation, the interpretative keys we have adopted and the results we have achieved.
